Diane offers 1 or 2 day courses from 11am – 5pm to give you the opportunity to make your own basket. The workshops are open to all skill levels, methods include simple Frame baskets techniques and the traditional circular basket Slath and Pairing technique. (price approx €110 per person)

We cover Willow growing, harvesting and preparation as well as tool types and safety during use.

They are held in Ardfert Community Centre, Tralee, unless another venue is stated.

Classes are kept small with a maximum of 8 participants so that everyone gets plenty of one on one tuition time.

Tools and materials will be provided along with light refreshments too.

Please note that basketry is not an easy craft and some strength is needed in the hands to manipulate and control the willow rod’s.

Booking and full payment is essential to secure any place on the day.

Private tuition is also available , depending on work schedules, groups of max 3 can avail of a day of weaving the project of their choice with me at my home. 6hr workshop 350 per day for 1-3 people.
