I've my very own Shave Horse now 😁 I didn't know I needed one till our trip to Denmark.
So as all decided it was a must have item, I organised for @mclaughlin5572 to come to @Dun Na Si Heritage Park in Moate, to teach us Greenwood working and make one ourselves.
What an amazing weekend, augers, spoke shaves, pole lathes and many more skills learned. Dan is an amazing teacher and now I have my very own Wonky Donkey to play with😂

My seaweed gathering backpack, which I made in Denmark, had its maiden journey over the common and up on to the beach today.❤️ Ursula (the sea queen as I've named her, shes a bit bottom heavy and voluptous )
Works a treat though and easy to carry even when full. Happy days.
Yes I did get a wet bottom, the seaweed dripped all the way home. 🤣

I'll definately make some more, though maybe a little less curveous.

As, I think 🤔 with all trades, we rarely get to do something for ourselves, we're just too busy. The mechanics car needs servicing, and the plumber has a drip, long awaiting attention.

So today was a day of play, just for me. It's a long way from perfect, not exactly straight or square, but I really enjoyed using up that left over bit of willow to make a mobile turf basket for myself 😁 An old gas cylinder trolley I bought at Ballylongford last year got repurposed today and I'm delighted with myself ❤️
